Memories of Homegrown's first Eat Your Art Out Fundraiser
Homegrown hosted our first ‘Eat Your Art Out’ fundraiser this month and the event was a huge success! Our featured local artists, Victor Bokas and Dawn Schriener, filled the Cooperative with their colorful and creative pieces — including Florida-inspired scenes on canvas and pop art that you could harvest yourself from the ficus trees. Local food and drinks sponsored by Living Vitalitea Kombucha, Dandelion Communitea Cafe, Lake Meadow Naturals, Olde Hearth Bread Co., Sweet Utopian and Parke Hydro Family Farms were enjoyed by guests at the event. As we admired the art and nibbled on our locally made goodies, we enjoyed live music by Sharon Center Lowe with guitar and song, and Ben Tiptonford on sitar. Five lucky raffle winners went home with Season’s Collections of fresh and local produce, and annual memberships to shop at Homegrown’s signature online Farmers Market. Homegrown sure knows how to throw a great fundraising party — local style. If you missed it, join us for the next one on November 15th. Enjoy the fabulous photos taken by T. Bailey!
